I was so delightfully surprised by the gorgeous gothic city of Prague.
I hadn’t really had any expectation before we got there – I knew very little about it, and to be honest hadn’t really thought much about The Czech Republic. Prague was so wonderful, I can honestly say that it’s on my list of cities to return to!
We got to Prague, and hey!! What’d do you know? We had the option to upgrade! There was no option about it, so I shared a cabin with Bindy, Shelley and Emily.
We showered, and headed into Prague for dinner (Wilandri and I had the most delicious bratwursts ever!!!) and a pub crawl! I have no photographic evidence from that night, but we joined with another contiki group (hurray! More South Africans!) and went to 3 different bars and a really awesome, 5 story club at the end of the night. It was so much fun!
We spent the next day in Prague, exploring the city, trying traditional Czech pastries and seeing the sights. I came across a Salvador Dali exhibition, which I went to. We also hopped on board a river cruise (once again, read: buffet, eat as much as you want, we were all hungover…).
That night we had a drinking games tournament with another contiki group sharing our campsite. Needless to say, it got completely out of hand and very messy, very quickly with free alcohol from our amazing cook Keish!
